More Phone Pic Randomness

Gracen and her bestie from across the street, Soli, like to dress up in dance wear.  One day Reed didn't want to be left out. :D
Adelyn's hair.  It's finally long enough to lay flat but we went through quite the stage there for awhile. :D
Best Frienamies.  Love to play together.  Love to make each other cry.
Waiting for the most anticipated day of the week: Garbage day.
I have so much help in the kitchen that it's amazing I ever get anything done! :)

One day at Fred Meyer I left the three oldest in charge of Reed in the toy aisles while I hurried to the other side of the store to get milk and eggs.  By the time I came back, Reed had opened and was playing with this sweet Lightning McQueen car. So I had to buy it. :(

Lesson learned.
Unfortunately this has been much of Adelyn's life.  It might be partly because she seems to have near-constant ear infections.  We just keep hoping she'll outgrow her orneriness as she grows away from babyhood!
 :)
Adelyn is into all the girl stuff Gracen was never into.  She LOVES, loves, loves babies and stuffies. Soli, Gracen's buddy, has a lot of really nice doll stuff (her stroller is nicer than mine! :D), so Adelyn loves it when Soli comes over.

Reed. Naps a couple of times a week but NEVER in his bed! ("Reed, are you tired?" "Yeah, I tired." "Do you want me to put you in your bed?" "No, I no sleep!"
For awhile there Adelyn had the cutest little habit of sitting at Jaron's feet as soon as he came through the door.  I don't know if she was trying to get him to pick her up or play or what but we thought it was funny.  Love her!

Cabin Fever Day 2016

Our town has the coolest tradition called "Cabin Fever Day" in January. (Yes, these are January pictures.  I've never been so behind since I started this blog 8 years ago! :( )  Lots of things around town are free on that day and gives people a chance to get out of the house, theoretically getting away from "Cabin Fever."  The first year we lived here I killed myself going to every possible thing I could take the kids to, even though I had a 6 week old baby at that point.  That year we did a free karate class, we went to the museum, and we waited 3 hours in line to go bowling. :(

This year, we kept it simple and went to the museum in the morning and the swimming pool in the afternoon.  At the museum they had a reptiles show set up.

The snakes were definitely a favorite.
Thes happy/freaked out faces still make me smile. :D

The three oldest are such a great help with the little ones.  Because there's a 3.5 year gap between Gracen and Reed and less than 2 years between the rest of them, we have "big kids" and "little kids" in our family. :)

Thankfully Jaron happened to have this Saturday off because he makes everything more fun when he comes along!

Phone Pic Randomness

Sometimes I bribe the children to clean up so that clean up happens fast and happily.  On this day, I told them they'd get a minute of screen time for every item they put away.  Turns out we had 576 things out of place in our house!!

Eli. Our monopoly lover who ain't too bad at it...even if he does get down to $60 now and then.

Addie Mae.  Loves her babies and her momma.  He hair used to stick up like that on it's own all the time but already it's long enough to lay flat!  Time flies.

HAHAHA.  Reed's 2 year old attitude is awesome.  With the other kids I think it stressed me out.  I must be getting wiser or something.

There is definitely only one of this girl.  Sings and strums her guitar in her pajamas and tap shoes in the middle of a messy bathroom. :D

It seems like Adelyn has been sick as much as as she's been healthy during her short life.  This picture was when she was diagnosed with a touch of pneumonia and two ear infections. :(

When she's healthy, it's hard to bring her in the house when we get home!  She loves it outside!!

I have learned to ALWAYS cook an extra egg or two.  My little scavengers are always hungry, even if they have just had a bowl of cereal

Love this little Reed, even if he's quite the terrible toddler.  He is an incredible mess maker, a biter, a toilet plugger, a destroyer,a spiller, a tantrum thrower.  But he's also hilarious, has the funniest facial expresses, and is so sweet to Adelyn (when he isn't making her cry).

Playing with kinetic sand, a new favorite of ours, and hiding from mom so he doesn't have to get dressed. :D
Eli's cutest little school craft! (Yes, I'm 4 months behind on blog pictures)
Gracen used her report card money to buy her first girlie Lego set!
