We hosted a Halloween party for the neighborhood kids again this year. We have 15 kids on our street aged 3-8 and we invited THEM ALL (plus one extra from Alden's class at church).
It was crazy but a lot of fun too.
Our menu included: witches' brooms (Reese's peanut butter cups with pretzels), spider legs (black grapes on skewers), skeleton bones (pretzels and marshmallows dipped in white chocolate), goblin fingers (cheese strings with almond "nails"),
zombie eyes (sugar cookies), ghosts (bananas),
and baked mummies.
Thankfully we have a whole bunch of awesome kids on our street who were all great listeners and good sports with the games.
Last year we didn't have anyone Alden's age at the party and I'm pretty sure we didn't have anyone Gracen's age, either. So this was the first year that we had such a big age gap to entertain. It was a little bit challenging to get all ages interested in the games but we had fun. Unfortunately I only took pics of the outdoor games - Reed got fussy and it was tough inside (until my awesome neighbor Rebecca came and took Reed off my hands!).
A lot of work, but totally fun!! I've already hit the after Halloween sales for next year's party!
