We had a fun fourth of July this year. Jaron had it off so we headed to his parents'. We hit the Rexburg parade with aunt Melissa and her cute kids. There were no real "floats" to speak of in the parade but the kids made off like bandits with how much candy they got. It's like another Halloween all over again! Fortunately we went to Canada right after and they forgot all about their sacks of candy. They're sitting in my bedroom and I can't decide if I can just throw it all away without feeling too guilty. What if they ask about it?! Haha.
Between the parade and the pre-fireworks BBQ we had some down time. Since Grandpa had just irrigated the apple orchard, we decided to make good use of the flood. Who needs a boat?!
CR's an awesome Grandpa. He makes a concentrated effort to do things with the grandkids every time we're there.
We took the kids into town for the fireworks show there. It's the first time we did that since they don't even start till after 10pm. The show was spectacular as always and well worth it. Reed and Gracen fell asleep in the middle of it and the boys didn't make it home but we all were glad we went.
