Happy Birthday, Gracen!

Gracen chose a princess cake and a fairy party theme for her 6th Birthday!
We invited 8 friends and did her party at home.  Unfortunately only 2 of the friends ended up being able to come. :( We hunted for mini fairy figurines in the back yard using traps made from little Mason jars that the girls prepared with moss, rocks, and small sticks.  Then we built them each a fairy house:
We tried to decorate the house into a fairy woodland.

Gracen had a good time at the party but was so sad that only two friends could come.  Since there were only a few kids, Lillian's little sister, mom, and grandma all ended up staying.

At six Gracen is still a happy, happy girl, although somewhat more emotional sometimes!  She loves girly things like makeup and jewelry and is starting to pay attention to fashion.  She likes to do her own hair and likes to play with mine too.  Gracen is still very social and hates that her two neighborhood friends, Soli and Halle, go to school all day while she does not.   Gracen is a great reader and is reading books like Clifford and the Little Critter books on her own.  Gracen is a good big sister and a big help to me.  She spends a lot of her free time doing art and loves the easel she got for Christmas this year.   She also loves to sing and dance. We sure love you, Gracie-Lou!!
